It is hidden in the scrub tree line at the base of a huge, rotten tree stump. This small cemetery was originally about 10' X 20' with a brick border. It was kept clean by the Porter family till the 1950s when a county road crew began working on Moore Road and a bulldozer ran over the cemetery breaking the tombstone. If the tombstone is still there, it is covered by 60 years of undergrowth. All that is remaining is a few scattered bricks and cemetery grass (Vinca or Periwinkle). Ken Porter remembers the three (3) graves of George Stone, his wife, and their child. The George Stone family owned and lived on the property during the Civil War. George Stone had the only marked tombstone.
